Ashlea Calicott, MA

Predoctoral Practicum Student

Ashlea Miller is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She has previous experience working in a community mental health setting, administering various psychological assessments, including ADHD evaluations, learning disability evaluations, pre-surgical bariatric evaluations, and neuropsychological evaluations to assist with diagnostic clarification. Ashlea has also provided services to assess a client’s abilities, needs, and eligibility for disability services.  Additionally, she has worked with Autistic clients across the spectrum, providing individual and group therapy sessions to teach social skills, with curriculum she developed. In this setting, she has experience providing psychological services to children, adolescents, and the geriatric population. Ashlea utilizes a therapeutic approach that is integrative, drawing from evidence-based techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), along with Interpersonal Therapy, to promote a strong therapeutic relationship and build coping strategies.  Her personal interests include spending time with family, friends, and being active.
Ashlea is providing services at PEACE Psychology Center for her practicum in counseling and psychological evaluations, and is working under the supervision of Dr. Kate Stark, licensed psychologist.
