Jean Harris, RN, FNP-BC

Jean Harris, RN, FNP-BC obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. She began a career as a cardiac intensive care nurse and then took a break to start raising twin daughters. She then resumed her career as an ICU nurse for several years and became certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse, CCRN. Next, she accepted a position at East Texas Medical Center Hospital, now UT Health East Texas, as the Critical Care Educator, and director of the Advanced Cardiac Life (ACLS) Support program. Later in her career, she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner Master’s program at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She has worked over twenty years as a nurse practitioner in hospital and clinic settings in cardiology and pulmonary medicine. 

Following a brief retirement, she joined PEACE Psychology Center to help out with administrative tasks and new client contact. She continues to work as a nurse practitioner at an allergy clinic as well.

Jean is married and has four grandchildren with whom she enjoys visiting. She also spends time with her Australian Cattle dog mix Annie, and is an avid cook.
