Advocacy

Special education advocacy services include working with an individual who is knowledgable about various domains (special education services, IDEiA, child and adolescent development, strategies and interventions for various needs, etc.) to serve as a guide and communicator to help you navigate and understand the special education/IEP/ARD or 504 process. The advocate may also attend meetings with you to help advocate for relevant recommendations or services based on your child's needs.
