Licensed Professional Counselor

National Certified Counselor

My approach with my clients is one of curiosity. I am of the belief that my clients have the capacity and strength to implement change. I am an existential therapist; this means that I lean into these big questions of meaning and purpose. I understand that exploring these big questions does not feel natural for some individuals. This is why I utilize a few different approaches to fit my clients’ needs such as expressive art therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, and attachment focused therapy. I am also an EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy) trained therapist, specializing in treatment of trauma related disorders. I use the adaptive information processing model to treat conditions such as post traumatic stress, anxiety, low self-worth, fears, substance abuse, process addictions, and obsessive disorders. My goal is to create an open and safe environment to give my clients the space they need to be vulnerable and make steps towards self-actualization.

Background: I am originally from Mississippi. While I was there, I was both a volunteer and career firefighter for almost 6 years. I attended The University of Mississippi for both my bachelor’s degree in psychology and my master’s in clinical mental health counseling. Since then, I have worked in a variety of settings such as a free clinic, an inpatient facility, an intensive outpatient facility, and a non-profit organization. I enjoy working with a wide range of developmental stages and cultures.

I moved to the Fort Worth area almost two years ago, and I am loving it here. In my free time, I enjoy being outside, creating art, and watching movies. I am light hearted, and invite my clients to feel free to be themselves.
